Our family arrived in Broomfield, Colorado in 1958 shortly after Ray left his job as a fighter pilot with Strategic Air Command in Kansas. Ray opend the Ben Franklin 5 & 10 store and Jeannine was teaching at Broomfield High School.
After a couple of years competing with Woolworths, Ray decided his long-term plans did not include retail. He got his real estate license and joined a brokerage in Boulder. After making the commute to Boulder (much easier in those days!) over the years the family decided to relocate. In 1966 we headed down the highway to Boulder.
In 1975 Ray grew restless as a real estate broker and began looking for other opportunities. He loved working with the people but wanted to "step away" from sales. That year he founded Personalized Management Services to help manage the growing number of rental properties in town. Over the years he established a solid management business and a reputation to match.
In 2001 he brought Scott into the family business. In December 2004 Ray decided to turn the reins over to Scott and enjoy his retirement. Since that time he has been enjoying traveling and his grandkids.
